Social bookmarking is used to spread a news and bookmark it for future references.

To spread a news, you have to submit the news to one or more social bookmarking websites. Above Delicious, Digg, reddit, Facebook and StumbleUpon are social bookmarking websites.

To submit a news, just click on the social bookmarking website name (eg. Delicious, Digg, etc) or it's icon available below the web page that you want to submit. Please note, before you click on the social bookmarking website name, you must be a member of that social bookmarking website. You can be a member while submitting your news. To complete the your web page submission, you should login and vote for it.

How the social bookmarking website spreads the news is, when you submit a news, the social bookmarking website counts the number of votes for the web page and it ranks the web page according to the number of votes received.

Initially, the web page you submitted appear under a upcoming news items web page in your social bookmarking website. Higher the number of votes get to the web page you submitted, it goes up the rank and become more visible by listing under a major category, eg. technology, business, etc. Even higher the votes it receive, the web page you submitted appear in the front page of the social bookmarking website. Many subscribe to social bookmarking websites via the RSS, so that higher the votes your web page receive, many come to know the news.

Bookmarking means, all the news you submitted are recorded in your account with the social bookmarking website.
